This course is designed for anyone who wants to learn or refresh their skills in polygel nail extensions. It’s perfect for complete beginners starting their journey, as well as those with some experience who want to refine their techniques and update their knowledge.
During the training, you will learn how to prepare natural nails, apply polygel extensions step by step, shape and finish the nails, and ensure a strong, smooth, and professional result. By the end of the course, you’ll feel confident and ready to offer gel extension services to clients.
At the end of the training, you will receive an ABT-accredited certificate, meaning you are fully certified, insurable, and ready to provide professional polygel extensions.

- Duration: 2 days (8 hours per day)
- Level: Beginner / Intermediate – suitable for total beginners and those with some experience

- Model Requirement: Day 1 – no model required (students work on themselves). Day 2 – students must bring their own model
- Equipment Required: Students must bring their own professional e-file
- Support After Training: Lifetime educator support – students can send pictures of their work for feedback and guidance at any time
- Payment Options: 50% deposit required to secure your place. Remaining balance to be paid on the first day of the course (cash or bank transfer)

Day 1 (students work on themselves)
- Welcome and introduction to the course
- Health and safety regulations in a nail technician’s career and their responsibilities
- Overview of nail diseases and disorders and how to recognize them
- Proper hygiene, disinfection, and sterilisation practices
- Contraindications to performing nail treatments
- Overview of essential products required for polygel nails, ensuring safe and professional application
- Understanding polygel types and selecting the correct primers for optimal adhesion and durability
- Detailed explanation of natural and extended nail structure, including apex placement, stress points, and achieving correct balance for a professional finish
- Natural nail anatomy and preparation techniques
- Introduction to Basic PolyGel Extensions using tips and forms: theory and demonstration
- Step-by-step guidance on preparing, applying, and blending tips for extensions
- Learning to create oval, almond, and square nail shapes with tips, focusing on structure, accurate filing, and symmetry
- Understanding correct nail filing techniques and why they are crucial for structural integrity
- Aftercare instructions for Polygel nails
Day 2 (students work on their model’s nails)
- Recap of Day 1, addressing any questions or challenges students faced during practice
- Hands-on practice of the proper way to fit tips and forms to ensure flawless and seamless extensions
- Continued practice of Basic PolyGel Extensions using tips and forms, focusing on creating professional shapes: oval, almond, and square
- Electric file demonstration: safe polygel nail removal techniques
- Practical Exam: Students will create polygel nail extensions in the assigned shape (oval, almond, or square) on their model or themselves, unaided
- Theory Exam: Students will complete a written theory test covering all course material, unaided
(Course dates are spread across few week to allow practice and development in between each session. Attendance is required on both days)

If a course or workshop does not reach the minimum number of participants required to run, applicants will receive either a full refund or the option to transfer their booking to the next available date.
In rare cases where the course structure needs to be adjusted, students will be notified in advance.
The training centre reserves the right to make changes to course dates, times, or duration if necessary.
Cancellations
- Cancellations must be made at least 10 days before the course date.
- Cancellations made less than 10 days before the course will result in the deposit being non-refundable and non-transferable.
- The same applies to any no-show attendance.
It is the student’s responsibility to remember course dates and times and to confirm any changes with us in advance.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
