My name is Maksymilian Borowy, and I am 19 years old. My nail journey started when I was only 14 years old, and today I am proud to be an international nail educator with Kohana Professional

Originally from Poland, I have been living in Ireland for the past 7 years. My passion began when I used to go with my mum to her nail appointments. I was fascinated by the process and wanted to learn more. She gave me the contact of her educator, and that’s how it all started

I completed my very first course at the age of 14, and since then I have attended over 40 professional trainings. At the beginning, I was travelling to clients homes after school and on weekends on the bus, to practice my craft. After a year, I opened my very first little nail table in a solarium, and step by step, I grew into bigger spaces and more opportunities

In 2023, I took part in my very first competitions in Dublin. I didn’t win, but I met Katarzyna Kruszyńska, founder of Kohana Professional, who invited me to train with her for upcoming international competitions. This moment changed everything. In London, I proudly won 2 bronze medals and 1 gold. From there, I continued competing and collecting medals, 6 in Germany and 7 in China. Competitions have given me not only experience but also the drive to constantly improve and challenge myself

On 18th September 2024, I achieved one of my biggest dreams. I became an official Kohana Professional Educator. This milestone allows me to share my knowledge, skills, and passion with others

My future plan is to travel the world and pass on everything I’ve learned, from the basics of nails to advanced techniques and competition-level skills
