This course is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to work with the e-file (electric nail file). It is perfect for complete beginners with no prior experience, as well as for those who want to improve their skills and learn how to use the e-file safely and effectively.
During the training, you will discover the fundamentals of the e-file, including how to hold and use it correctly, how to prepare cuticles, and how to choose the right bits for different tasks. By the end of the course, you’ll feel confident and comfortable working with the e-file in your nail services.
Not only will you gain practical skills and knowledge, but you will also receive an ABT-accredited certificate at the end of the training. This means you are fully certified, insurable, and ready to offer professional e-file services as part of your nail career.

- Level: Beginner, basic, refresh – no experience required
- Location: Maksymilian Borowy Academy, 26 Eustace St, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, D02 TR98, Ireland
- Maximum Class Size: 4 students (small groups for individual attention)
- Model Requirement: No model required – students will work on themselves
- Equipment Required: Students must bring their own professional e-file (minimum 30,000 rpm, 35 watts, forward & reverse function, metal handpiece), everything else will be provided.
- Support After Training: Lifetime educator support – students can send pictures of their work for feedback and guidance at any time
- Exclusive Discounts: Students get a €20 voucher to use on any products from Kohana Professional
- Payment Options: 50% deposit required to secure your place. Remaining balance to be paid on the day of the course (cash or bank transfer)

- Understanding the construction of the electric file

- Removing bulk or unwanted gel layers
- Reducing the length of natural nails or nail extensions
- Correct removal of gel polish using the e-file
- Cuticle preparation with tear drop and cylinder-shaped e-file bits
- How to properly and safely clean your e-file drill and drill bits

All courses are open to students aged 16 and over, unless otherwise specified.
Course Schedule
Courses are scheduled based on demand.
If a course or workshop does not reach the minimum number of participants required to run, applicants will receive either a full refund or the option to transfer their booking to the next available date.
In rare cases where the course structure needs to be adjusted, students will be notified in advance.
The training centre reserves the right to make changes to course dates, times, or duration if necessary.
Cancellations
- Cancellations must be made at least 10 days before the course date.
- Cancellations made less than 10 days before the course will result in the deposit being non-refundable and non-transferable.
- The same applies to any no-show attendance.
It is the student’s responsibility to remember course dates and times and to confirm any changes with us in advance.
Deposit & Payments
